Changes in customs clearance when exporting commercial goods at the Vaclav Havel Airport Prague from January 1, 2015

From 1 January 2015 the Customs Office Prague Ruzyně applies some changes of the possibility to make an oral declaration of the commercial goods (the definition of the commercial goods: everything else except noncommercial nature see definition under Art. 1, Sec. 6 NK 2454/93).

The change consists of the fact that the customs office will no longer accept an oral declaration on the commercial goods, if not met cumulatively the conditions stated in Article. 225 and 266 of the IPC NK 2454/93 (i.e. shipments of the value 1.000 EUR or lower, the shipment is not part of a regular series of similar shipments and the goods are not transported by independent carrier as a part of larger freight movement of commercial nature) of the Customs Code. Once, even if only one factor will not respond, the customs authority shall require the submission of an electronic customs declarations or it will be needed to declare such shipments for export and exit at another point of EU. Customs Office procedure in the Czech Republic should be consistent in the matter.
